Description: This attribute is applicable only for Y.1731 probes. It identifies the destination MEP that responds to the LMMs and DMMs. The MAC address of this RMEP ID from RMEP database will be the destination MAC address for LMM and DMM. This value is used only if the esaProbeY1731DestMepType is 'mepid'. CC protocol must be enabled between source and destination MEP if the RMEP ID is used to identify the Remote MEP.
What is esaProbeDestMepId?
This read-create Dot1agCfmMepIdOrZero, applicable only to Y.1731 probes, identifies the destination MEP via its Remote MEP ID from the RMEP database, used only when esaProbeDestMepType is mepid and requiring CC protocol enabled between the MEPs. It lets the probe reference the remote endpoint by its CFM Remote MEP ID instead of a hardcoded MAC address, relying on continuity-check to resolve the actual MAC. For example, with CCM running between the MEPs, setting DestMepId to the remote MEP's ID lets the probe automatically track that MEP's current MAC even if it changes, rather than needing a manual MAC update.
