esaProbeAlias is a read-create DisplayString (up to 128 characters) letting a management application attach a human-readable label to an ESA Probe. An administrator uses it to give a probe a meaningful name, such as a customer or circuit identifier, since the probe's own index alone would not be recognizable in a dashboard listing hundreds of probes. For example, setting this alias to a customer's circuit ID lets a technician instantly recognize which SLA test belongs to which customer instead of cross-referencing raw table indexes.
