ecpaConfigStreamUsePortSourceMAC
Module: CM-SA-MIB
OID (symbolic): CM-SA-MIB::ecpaConfigStreamUsePortSourceMAC
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.8.1.2.1.28
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: TruthValue
Access: read-write
Description: This object when not enabled indicates that MAC Address specified by ecpaConfigStreamSourceMAC as the source MAC Address of the ECPA test stream. For EGX, if enabled indicates that the corresponding ECPA test stream will use the associated Source Port's MAC Address. For GE110 products and CC products, if enabled indicates that the corresponding ECPA test stream will use the associated Source Port's Diagnostic MAC Address.
What is ecpaConfigStreamUsePortSourceMAC?
This read-write TruthValue, when not enabled, means the source MAC in generated traffic is ecpaConfigStreamSourceMAC; when enabled on EGX it uses the source port's own MAC, and on GE110 and CC products it uses the source port's diagnostic MAC. It lets the operator choose between a manually specified source MAC and automatically inheriting the physical port's own address. For example, enabling UsePortSourceMAC on a GE110 card makes the generated frames automatically carry that port's diagnostic MAC, saving the operator from having to look it up and enter it manually.
