bertControlTestStatus

Module: CM-SA-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-SA-MIB::bertControlTestStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.8.1.17.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: BerTestStatus

Access: read-only

Description: This object reflects the current status of test set configuration entry. Upon creation, the status has a value of `initial'; the status changes to `in-progress' upon ecpaControlAction indicating `start'; the status changes to `completed' upon ecpaControlAction indicating stop, as well as when the specified test generation completes autonomously upon completion of number of frames or completion of specified time interval.

What is bertControlTestStatus?

This read-only BerTestStatus reflects the current lifecycle state of a BERT configuration entry, moving from 'initial' at creation, to 'in-progress' once bertControlAction indicates start, to 'completed' either on an explicit stop or when the test's frame count or time limit is reached autonomously, per its description. An administrator polls this to know whether a BERT run is still active or has finished before trying to read its results. For example, an operator who set bertControlDuration to 3600 seconds would expect bertControlTestStatus to flip from 'in-progress' to 'completed' automatically once that hour elapses, even without manually stopping it.
