What is stsVcPathBerExcThreshold?
This read-write BitErrRate object provides the threshold for a B3 excessive (B3EXC) bit-error-rate condition on the OCn Path, per its description. Administrators tune it to control the bit-error rate at which a hard, service-affecting alarm is raised at the path layer. For example, setting a tighter B3EXC threshold on a path carrying sensitive circuit-switched voice traffic causes the system to declare a service-affecting fault sooner than it would for a data path with a looser threshold.
