What is pps16PortGroupAlias?
This read-only DisplayString lets an SNMP management station read a human-assigned alias for the PPS/10MHz timing port entity, up to 64 characters. It helps an operator tell apart multiple physical timing ports on the same card when wiring or troubleshooting a synchronization distribution scheme. For example, a technician might label one port 'GPS-ANT-A-PPS' and another 'GPS-ANT-B-PPS' to keep two separate GPS antenna feeds from being confused during a site visit.
