This object sets a network-element-wide Bandwidth Profile Mode determining whether CIR and EIR rate enforcement is interpreted as Information Rate, counting only the MEF Service Frame from the destination address to the FCS, or Line Rate, counting the whole frame including IFG, preamble, and SFD. Admins choose IR mode to align billing and enforcement with the MEF-standard service-frame definition, or LR mode when they need enforcement to account for the full wire-level overhead. For example, a carrier offering a MEF-compliant Ethernet service sets neTMParamsBandwidthProfileMode to IR so a customer's contracted CIR is measured the same way the MEF specification defines it, rather than including preamble overhead.
