f3PulsePerSecondPortOutputDelay

Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::f3PulsePerSecondPortOutputDelay

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.53.1.17

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: This object allows specification of the PPS Output Delay in nanoseconds. The valid values are 0 to 999999999 in 10 nanoseconds steps. Values which are not multiple of 10 will be automatically rounded up to the next multiple of 10.

What is f3PulsePerSecondPortOutputDelay?

This object sets the output delay, in nanoseconds rounded to multiples of 10, added to the PPS signal transmitted by this port, over a range of 0 to 999999999. Admins use it to compensate for cable-length or equipment-induced propagation delay so downstream devices see a precisely time-aligned pulse. For example, if a PPS cable run to a distant cell site adds a known 200-nanosecond delay, the admin can offset f3PulsePerSecondPortOutputDelay to compensate before it reaches other measurement points.
