Description: This object allows to insert AIS out from E3/T3 when it is in maintenance state.
What is e3t3InsertingAIS?
This TruthValue makes the E3/T3 port transmit an Alarm Indication Signal while the port sits in maintenance state. It signals downstream equipment that the outage is a planned, known condition rather than an unexplained fault, avoiding false alarm escalation during maintenance. For example, while a technician performs card diagnostics on a T3 trunk, enabling e3t3InsertingAIS tells the downstream multiplexer to expect AIS rather than raise a red alarm.
