Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::e1t1FrameFormat

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.50.1.16

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: E1T1FrameFormat

Access: read-write

Description: This object represents the E1/T1 Port Frame Format. When the port is configured for a Line Type of T1, the valid values are t1-sf, t1-esf and t1-unframed and the default value is t1-unframed. When the port is configured for a Line Type of E1, the valid values are e1-unframed, e1-crc4, and e1-dualFrame and the default value is e1-crc4.

R5.4CC supports only t1-unframed for T1 Line type.

What is e1t1FrameFormat?

This object sets the framing structure the E1/T1 port expects, such as t1-esf or t1-unframed for T1 lines, or e1-crc4 or e1-dualFrame for E1 lines. A mismatch with the far end produces frame-sync alarms even though the physical signal is present, and this particular release, R5.4CC, additionally restricts T1 lines to t1-unframed only. For example, an admin configuring a T1 tributary on R5.4CC firmware must leave e1t1FrameFormat at t1-unframed since esf and sf are not supported in that release.
