Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB
OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmPrioMapOuterTagPriority
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.10.1.6
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: VlanPriority
Access: read-write
Description: This allows specification of the VLAN priority that will replace the outgoing (A2N direction) outer-tag's priority. Note that, each flow participates or not in outer-tag priority mapping, using the object 'cmFlowOuterTagPrioEnabled'.
What is cmPrioMapOuterTagPriority?
This read-write VlanPriority object specifies the VLAN priority that will replace the outgoing (A2N direction) outer-tag's priority for a mapped priority value; whether a given flow actually participates in this remarking is controlled separately by cmFlowOuterTagPrioEnabled. Admins use it to remark the customer-facing outer tag's priority as traffic heads toward the network, ensuring the outer tag carries a priority the carrier's core network understands and trusts, rather than whatever a customer device originally set. For example, an admin wanting all traffic mapped to a given priority-map row to egress toward the network with outer-tag priority 6 would set cmPrioMapOuterTagPriority to 6, provided the relevant flow has outer-tag priority remarking enabled.
