cmPrioMapInPriority

Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmPrioMapInPriority

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.10.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The integer index value corresponding to a priority value based on the cmEthernetAccPortPrioMapMode. In case of TOS and 8021P, valid indices are 0 to 7, in case of DSCP, valid indices are 0 to 63.

What is cmPrioMapInPriority?

This read-write Integer32 (0..63) specifies the incoming priority value being mapped in a given priority-map table row, with the valid range again depending on mode: 0 to 7 for TOS/802.1p, or 0 to 63 for DSCP. Admins set this as the 'key' half of a priority-to-COS mapping rule, defining exactly which incoming marking value this row's mapping applies to. For example, building a DSCP-based mapping table, an admin would create one row with cmPrioMapInPriority set to DSCP value 46 (EF) specifically to map expedited-forwarding-marked traffic to its intended COS.
