This read-write object specifies the disposition applied to Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) frames on this port's CPD profile, identified by MAC address 01:00:0C:CC:CC:CC and Ethertype 0x2000. An administrator sets this to control whether CDP neighbor-discovery advertisements are processed, dropped, or tunneled transparently through this port. For example, setting this disposition to drop on a customer-facing demarcation port prevents the carrier's internal CDP topology information from leaking out to, or being confused with, the customer's own network.
