Description: The rate limiting for multicast packets per port When cmNetPortExtMcastRateLimitEnabled and the value is 0, it means all multicast frame are dropped.

This objects only represents low 32 bits.

What is cmNetPortExtMcastRateLimitSpeedLo?

This object holds the low 32 bits of the multicast rate-limit ceiling for this network port, and a value of 0 with limiting enabled drops all multicast frames on that port. Admins tune it to cap multicast traffic on the network-facing side of the circuit, protecting shared uplink capacity from flooding. For example, an admin sets cmNetPortExtMcastRateLimitSpeedLo on a network port aggregating several access ports to prevent one customer's multicast traffic from overwhelming the shared uplink.
