This object specifies the direction or directions in which traffic policing (rate limiting) is enforced on flows through a facility when policing is enabled. Policing can be applied to inbound traffic only, outbound traffic only, or bidirectionally depending on operator needs. Network administrators configure this to control how traffic rate limits are applied and to protect network resources from oversubscription.
