OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.34.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CmControlProtocolDispType

Access: read-write

Description: Control Protocol Disposition for VTP (VLAN Trunking Protocol). MAC Address (01:00:0C:CC:CC:CC), Ethertype(0x2003).

What is cmFlowPointCpdProfileVtpDispType?

This read-write object specifies the disposition applied to VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) frames within this FlowPoint's CPD profile, identified by MAC address 01:00:0C:CC:CC:CC and Ethertype 0x2003, applicable to this flow specifically. An administrator sets this to control whether VTP domain-synchronization frames for this particular customer's flow are processed, dropped, or tunneled through. For example, setting this disposition to drop on a customer's flow point prevents that customer's VTP advertisements, if any, from being mistakenly processed by the carrier's own VLAN database.
