OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.34.1.33

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CmControlProtocolDispType

Access: read-write

Description: MAC Address 01:80:C2:00:00:02 Disposition type.

What is cmFlowPointCpdProfileMac02DispType?

This read-write object sets the disposition applied to frames addressed to the reserved multicast MAC 01:80:C2:00:00:02 when they enter an Ethernet flow point under this CPD profile. Because addresses in this block are used by control-plane protocols rather than ordinary data traffic, an administrator sets this value to decide whether such frames are consumed locally, discarded, or forwarded across the flow point. For instance, on a flow point terminating a multi-site EVPL service, setting this disposition to discard prevents a customer device's control frames sent to that address from looping back onto the carrier's own equipment.
