OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.34.1.32
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: CmControlProtocolDispType
Access: read-write
Description: MAC Address 01:80:C2:00:00:01 Disposition type.
What is cmFlowPointCpdProfileMac01DispType?
This read-write field selects the disposition (such as peer, discard, or tunnel) applied to frames destined for the IEEE 802.1 reserved multicast address 01:80:C2:00:00:01 as they arrive on a flow point governed by this CPD profile. This specific address is one of the bridge-reserved destinations that carrier Ethernet switches must not forward like ordinary traffic, so the setting determines whether the local node processes, drops, or passes through frames sent to it. For example, on a UNI flow point delivering an E-Line service to a customer building, the operator would set this disposition to tunnel so any control frames sent to that address by the customer's own bridge pass across the carrier network untouched rather than being intercepted.
