cmFlowPointCpdProfileBridgeGroupDispType

Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmFlowPointCpdProfileBridgeGroupDispType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.34.1.14

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CmControlProtocolDispType

Access: read-write

Description: Deprecated - individual dispositions available for each MAC. Bridge Group Control Protocol Disposition Type. This includes BPDU, PAUSE (IEEE 802.3x Flow Control), LACP (Link Aggregation), LACP Marker (Marker), EFM OAM (IEEE 802.3 ah) and IEEE 802.1x Port Authentication, besides reserved MAC addresses from 01:80:C2:00:00:04 thru 01:80:C2:00:00:0F.

What is cmFlowPointCpdProfileBridgeGroupDispType?

This deprecated read-write object set one blanket disposition covering BPDU, PAUSE, LACP, LACP Marker, EFM OAM, and 802.1x protocols together, plus reserved MAC addresses 01:80:C2:00:00:04 through 0F, at the level of this specific FlowPoint rather than the whole port. An administrator would have used this as a quick group-wide setting for a customer's flow before per-protocol flow-point objects, such as cmFlowPointCpdProfileLACPDispType, became available. For example, an operator migrating an older flow-point configuration would replace reliance on this deprecated group object with the individual per-protocol dispositions to get precise, protocol-by-protocol control on that flow.
