Description:
This object allows specification of the tag management operation on the C-TAG. Supported types are 'push', 'pushvid', 'swapvid' and 'none'. If the type is 'push', the VLAN Id (cmFlowCTagVlanId) and priority (cmFlowCTagVlanPriority) are pushed onto the frame; if the type is 'pushvid', only the VLAN Id (12 bits) is pushed, the Priority is copied from incoming tag's priority; if the type is 'swapvid', only the VLAN Id (12 bits) are swapped with the specified cmFlowCTagVlanId; if the type is 'none', no C-TAG management is performed.
This object is not applicable for Tranparent Flow; the value should be 'none'.
What is cmFlowCTagControl?
This OID specifies how VLAN tags should be added or modified on data frames (push, pushvid, swapvid, or none). Different operations let you manage VLAN nesting and priority marking for traffic engineering. A network engineer would configure this when interconnecting different VLAN domains or applying QoS policies to specific traffic flows.
