cmEthernetTrafficPortTxPauseEnabled is a read-write boolean enabling or disabling the transmission of PAUSE flow-control frames out of this Ethernet port. An administrator enables this so the port itself can ask the far end to slow down when its own receive buffers are filling up, protecting against frame loss during momentary congestion. For example, a port occasionally overwhelmed by bursty traffic from an aggressive upstream sender would have TxPause enabled so it can request that sender to pause rather than silently dropping frames.
