Description:

This object provides the SFP Laser Wave Length in nano meters. This is applicable only when cmEthernetTrafficPortMediaType is fiber.

What is cmEthernetTrafficPortSfpLaserWaveLength?

This OID reports the laser wavelength in nanometers of a fiber optic SFP (transceiver module) installed in an Ethernet port. Wavelength determines the light frequency used; common values are 1310nm or 1550nm for different fiber types. An operator checks this to verify the correct transceiver type is installed for the fiber link distance and standard.
