cmEthernetTrafficPortRemotePlugFrequency

Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetTrafficPortRemotePlugFrequency

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.27.1.163

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: FrequencyIdentifier

Access: read-write

Description: If Channel Type is FREQUENCY, this is the remote plug's frequency.

What is cmEthernetTrafficPortRemotePlugFrequency?

This read-write object holds the remote optical plug's frequency identifier, applicable only when the Channel Type is set to FREQUENCY, the remote-end counterpart to the local plug frequency object. An administrator records or sets this value to keep documentation of the remote transceiver's tuned frequency in a frequency-based (rather than channel-number) DWDM plan. For example, this field would capture the exact operating frequency of a remote tunable optic so an engineer troubleshooting a wavelength mismatch can compare local and remote frequency settings directly.
