What is cmEthernetTrafficPortPhyType?
This object selects the physical-layer mode, LAN or WAN, for a 10-Gigabit Ethernet (XGE) card, and is only meaningful when the port resides on that specific card type. An administrator sets this to match how the XGE interface is wired into the network, since LAN and WAN framing are electrically and protocol-wise different. For example, provisioning an XGE port to connect into a WAN transport link requires setting this object to WAN rather than leaving it at the LAN default.
