This object specifies the encoding mode for Priority Code Point (PCP) in the 802.1Q VLAN tag for egress packets and the decoding mode for ingress packets on an Ethernet port. PCP (3 bits in the VLAN tag) indicates traffic priority (0-7), and the encoding/decoding mode determines how the device maps internal priority values to PCP values and vice versa. Administrators configure this setting to ensure proper quality-of-service (QoS) tagging and interpretation of priority markers across network interfaces.
