cmEthernetTrafficPortOuterVlanLoopbackMask
Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB
OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetTrafficPortOuterVlanLoopbackMask
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.27.1.25
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This object allows specification of the outer VLANs to be looped back when port is in vlan(terminal/facility) loopback configuration. Only 3 VLANs can be specified for vlan loopback. The various bit positions are: 1 Outer VLAN 1 Loopback Enabled 2 Outer VLAN 2 Loopback Enabled 4 Outer VLAN 3 Loopback Enabled
What is cmEthernetTrafficPortOuterVlanLoopbackMask?
cmEthernetTrafficPortOuterVlanLoopbackMask is a read-write bitmask (0-16) specifying which up to three outer VLANs are looped back when the port is in a VLAN-scoped loopback configuration. An administrator sets specific bits in this mask to selectively loop back only the traffic of chosen outer VLANs rather than looping the entire port, letting one service be tested without disturbing others sharing the same physical port. For example, testing only the customer traffic on outer VLAN 1 while leaving other VLANs on the same port passing normal traffic would be done by setting only the bit corresponding to Outer VLAN 1 in this mask.
