Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetTrafficPortOuterVlanLoopback3

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.27.1.28

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: DisplayString

Access: read-write

Description: This object allows specification of the outer VLAN 3 to be looped back when port is in vlan(terminal/facility) loopback configuration. This is valid only if the corresponding bit in cmEthernetTrafficPortOuterVlanLoopbackMask is set. The value to be specified should be in the form X-Y where X is the VLAN Id and Y is the VLAN Priority. If Y is specified as a *, all Priorities (0 to 7) are looped back.

What is cmEthernetTrafficPortOuterVlanLoopback3?

cmEthernetTrafficPortOuterVlanLoopback3 is a read-write string specifying the outer VLAN 3 value to be looped back when the port is in VLAN loopback configuration, valid only if the corresponding bit in the loopback mask is set. An administrator uses this third and final slot to round out testing of up to three distinct VLANs on the same port without disturbing the other two loopback slots' configuration. For example, a port carrying three separate customer VLANs that all need individual turn-up testing would have each VLAN's ID recorded across this and the two preceding loopback objects.
