What is cmEthernetTrafficPortOamRemoteMode?

cmEthernetTrafficPortOamRemoteMode is a read-only value reporting whether the remote OAM sublayer entity discovered on this port is operating in Active or Passive mode. An administrator checks this to confirm the OAM session's roles are correctly paired, since two Passive entities can never establish a session and two Actives can lead to unpredictable negotiation. For example, if this local port is configured Active and this object correctly reports the remote entity as Passive, an operator can confirm the OAM session is set up in a valid Active/Passive pairing.
