This read-only object shows the auto-negotiated or auto-selected Ethernet media type (such as 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-FX, or 10GBASE-SR) currently in use on an Ethernet traffic port. Network operators use this to confirm that media auto-selection is working correctly and that the port is operating on the expected physical layer medium.
