Description: This object allows to Enable/Disable the Traffic Port Source MAC Address frame matching criteria for all streams. Not applicable for: efm-oam-remote, efm-oam-remote-timed.

What is cmEthernetTrafficPortLoopbackSourceMacControlEnabled?

This object enables or disables source MAC address matching criteria for traffic loopback streams generated by an Ethernet traffic testing port on an ADVA optical network element. When enabled, generated test frames will match traffic on a specific source MAC address, allowing targeted loopback testing. Network technicians enable this to test end-to-end traffic paths with specific source identities, useful for validating network forwarding behavior and troubleshooting MAC-based policies.
