Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB
OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetTrafficPortLinkLossFwdDelay
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.27.1.32
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-write
Description: This object allows specification of the delay between detection of link loss and signalling of link loss forwarding. Time specified is in seconds.
What is cmEthernetTrafficPortLinkLossFwdDelay?
cmEthernetTrafficPortLinkLossFwdDelay is a read-write integer specifying, in seconds, the delay between detecting a link loss and signaling link loss forwarding on this port. An administrator tunes this delay to avoid triggering forwarding on brief, self-clearing link flaps while still reacting promptly to a genuine sustained outage. For example, setting this delay to a few seconds would let a momentary optical glitch clear on its own without unnecessarily bringing down the far-end port via link loss forwarding.
