cmEthernetTrafficPortIngressPrioMapMode

Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetTrafficPortIngressPrioMapMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.27.1.72

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: PriorityMapMode

Access: read-write

Description: This object allows to specify the Ethernet Port Priority Mapping Mode used for classification of frames. This object is only applicable for connection-oriented, evpl service type.

What is cmEthernetTrafficPortIngressPrioMapMode?

This object selects the Priority Mapping Mode the Ethernet port uses on ingress to classify incoming frames, such as by 802.1p bits, DSCP, or ToS, for connection-oriented EVPL services. It matters to an administrator because the chosen mode determines which header field feeds the port's Class of Service classification, directly shaping how traffic is queued and treated for QoS downstream. For example, setting this to a DSCP-based mode lets the port classify IP traffic by its DSCP marking instead of any existing VLAN priority bits.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.27.1.72
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetTrafficPortIngressPrioMapMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.27.1.72.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetTrafficPortIngressPrioMapMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.27.1.72.1 s <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> cmEthernetTrafficPortIngressPrioMapMode.1
