Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetTrafficPortExpDEPairsAction

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.27.1.129

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: PcpDEPairsAction

Access: read-write

Description: This object allows the SNMP user to manage the Priority Code Point (PCP) Drop Eligibility Pairs. When the cmEthernetTrafficPortExpDEEncType is of type 7p1d, 6p2d, 5p3d, the cmEthernetTrafficPortExpDEPairTable can be used to specify alternate pairs of priorities to specify drop eligibility/ ineligibility.

What is cmEthernetTrafficPortExpDEPairsAction?

This object manages the Priority Code Point (PCP) and Drop Eligibility bit pair mappings for Ethernet traffic on a port. An operator would configure this to specify which PCP/DE combinations should be treated as drop-eligible versus drop-ineligible during congestion. This allows fine-grained control over which traffic classes get discarded when the port becomes congested.
