Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetTrafficPortEgressSwapPriorityVIDEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.27.1.126

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This object defines the egress Swap Priority Vid enable or disable of the port. If it is enabled, the outgoing packets with VID=Priority VLAN ID will be swapped back to VID=0.

What is cmEthernetTrafficPortEgressSwapPriorityVIDEnabled?

This TruthValue enables or disables Egress Swap Priority VID on the port, and when enabled causes outgoing frames tagged with the Priority VLAN ID to be swapped back to VID 0 before leaving the port. An administrator uses this current, non-deprecated object (successor to cmEthernetTrafficPortEgressPopPriorityVidEnabled) to strip the internal priority-VLAN marking from egress traffic bound for a customer. For example, enabling this on an EVPL egress port ensures the customer only ever sees VID 0 rather than the carrier's internal priority-VLAN tag leaking through.
