Description: This object allows to specify whether cmEthernetTrafficPortPortVlanId value will be POPed in the egress direction. This object is only applicable for connection-oriented, evpl service type.

What is cmEthernetTrafficPortEgressPopPVIDEnabled?

This is a true/false switch on an Ethernet traffic port that controls whether the port's configured VLAN ID (PVID) is stripped (popped) from frames as they leave in the egress direction. Enabling it lets a carrier deliver untagged frames back to a customer's EVPL circuit even though the port pushed a PVID tag on ingress, keeping the customer-facing side of the service transparent. For example, an administrator provisioning an Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) service would enable this so a subscriber's untagged Ethernet handoff is preserved end-to-end while the tag is used only internally.
