Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: CmControlProtocolDispType
Access: read-write
Description: Deprecated - each Cisco protocol has its own disposition. Control Protocol Disposition for Cisco Group. This includes ISL, PAGP, UDLD, CDP, VTP, DTP, PSVTP+, UplinkFast, VLAN Bridge, L2PT. Note that a specific protocol filter overrides the group setting.
What is cmEthernetTrafficPortCpdV2CiscoGroupDispType?
This read-write, deprecated object sets a single group disposition covering multiple Cisco protocols together (ISL, PAGP, UDLD, CDP, VTP, DTP, PVSTP+, UplinkFast, VLAN Bridge, and L2PT), though any more specific per-protocol disposition set elsewhere overrides this group setting. An administrator would historically use this as a shortcut to apply one disposition, such as discard or peer, to the whole Cisco protocol family at once. For example, setting this to discard on a legacy configuration would block all listed Cisco control protocols except any one individually overridden to peer instead.
