cmEthernetNetPortTrafficModel

Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetNetPortTrafficModel

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.7.1.110

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: EthernetPortTrafficModel

Access: read-write

Description: The Traffic Management connection model available for the port. - accessFlow: NID Traffic Connection model. - flowpoint: Multipoint and Aggregation Traffic Connection model.

What is cmEthernetNetPortTrafficModel?

This read-write EthernetPortTrafficModel object selects the traffic-management connection model for the port: accessFlow for the NID (network interface device) traffic connection model, or flowpoint for the multipoint/aggregation traffic connection model. It matters because this choice determines which entire family of downstream QoS and flow objects (e.g. per-COS ingress mapping, default COS) even apply to the port. For example, deploying the port as a multipoint aggregation uplink rather than a simple point-to-point NID service would require setting cmEthernetNetPortTrafficModel to flowpoint so the flowpoint-specific COS mapping objects become effective.
