This read-write TruthValue controls whether loopback configuration parameters on an Ethernet Network Port survive a device restart; they normally do not persist since maintenance actions typically aren't meant to be permanent, but setting this to true makes them persist, and false makes them not survive a restart. Admins need to be deliberate with this setting since leaving a loopback persistent by mistake means a routine reboot won't clear a test loopback that was left active, continuing to disrupt live traffic after the restart. For example, an admin who accidentally leaves a loopback active and has cmEthernetNetPortPersistentLoopbackControl set to true would find that even a full device reboot does not clear the disruptive loopback, unlike the default non-persistent behavior.
