Description: This object allows specification of the outer VLANs to be looped back when port is in vlan(terminal/facility) loopback configuration. Only 3 VLANs can be specified for vlan loopback. The various bit positions are: 1 Outer VLAN 1 Loopback Enabled 2 Outer VLAN 2 Loopback Enabled 4 Outer VLAN 3 Loopback Enabled Value of 0 means that no VLANs are enabled.

What is cmEthernetNetPortOuterVlanLoopbackMask?

This read-write INTEGER (0..16) is a bitmask selecting which of up to three configured outer VLANs get looped back when the Ethernet Network Port is in VLAN (terminal/facility) loopback mode, with bit 1 for Outer VLAN 1, bit 2 for VLAN 2, and bit 4 for VLAN 3; a value of 0 means no VLANs are looped. It matters because loopback testing needs to be scoped precisely to specific customer VLANs on a shared port, so other VLANs' traffic isn't disrupted by the test. For example, setting cmEthernetNetPortOuterVlanLoopbackMask to 5 (bits 1 and 4) would loop back only Outer VLAN 1 and Outer VLAN 3 while leaving VLAN 2's traffic passing through normally.
