Description: This object allows specification of whether the Ethernet Network Port supports interpreting Link Events.

What is cmEthernetNetPortOamLocalLinkEventsEnabled?

This read-only TruthValue reports whether the local EFM OAM sublayer on an Ethernet Network Port supports interpreting received Link Event OAMPDUs (such as errored-frame notifications) from the remote peer. Admins consult it when relying on EFM OAM link-event reporting for early-warning of degrading line quality, since a false value means those events simply won't be processed locally. For example, if expected errored-symbol-period alarms never appear despite a noisy line, an admin would check cmEthernetNetPortOamLocalLinkEventsEnabled to confirm the port is even configured to interpret those OAM link events.
