Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetNetPortLowLatencyQueuingEnabled

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.7.1.106

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This object allows to Enable/Disable the Low Latency Queuing on the Ethernet Network Port.

What is cmEthernetNetPortLowLatencyQueuingEnabled?

This read-write TruthValue enables or disables Low Latency Queuing on an Ethernet Network Port. Admins enable this for latency-sensitive traffic classes, such as voice or certain SOAM measurements, where queuing delay itself (not just bandwidth) needs to be minimized ahead of other queued traffic. For example, an admin carrying real-time voice traffic over a congested network port would enable cmEthernetNetPortLowLatencyQueuingEnabled so voice frames bypass normal queuing delay rather than waiting behind bulk data traffic.
