Access: read-write

Description: This object allows to specify the Network Port's behavior when link loss forwarding trigger events occur on the Access Port.

What is cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdTxActionType?

This read-write CmLinkLossFwdTxActionType object specifies how an Ethernet Network Port behaves when link-loss-forwarding trigger events occur on the associated Access Port, and is the current replacement for the deprecated cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdSignalType. Admins configure it to control the specific transmit-side action (such as sending a specific signal or shutting down the port) so the network side reacts predictably to an access-side failure. For example, an admin wanting the network port to physically shut down (rather than just signal a code) when the access side loses link would select the corresponding action value in cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdTxActionType.
