cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdSignalType

Module: CM-FACILITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): CM-FACILITY-MIB::cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdSignalType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2544.1.12.4.1.7.1.42

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: CmLinkLossFwdSignalType

Access: read-write

Description: This object allows definition of the link loss forwarding signalling type. This is applicable only if cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdEnabled is enabled. This object is only valid for FSP150CM Release 3.1. This object is deprecated henceforth. Link Loss signalling will be supported using the object cmEthernetAccPortLinkLossFwdTxActionType.

What is cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdSignalType?

This read-write, now-deprecated CmLinkLossFwdSignalType object defined how Link Loss Forwarding signaled a detected failure (applicable only when cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdEnabled is set, and only on FSP150CM Release 3.1). It's mainly relevant to admins maintaining legacy FSP150CM 3.1 deployments, since newer platforms use cmEthernetAccPortLinkLossFwdTxActionType instead for this signaling behavior. For example, an admin auditing an older FSP150CM 3.1 node might still find cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdSignalType configured, but on current hardware would instead look for the replacement TxActionType object.
