Type: TruthValue

Access: read-only

Description: This object provides the indication of a link partners ability to support link loss forwarding via EFM, i.e. from received organization specific OAMPDUs.

What is cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdPartnerEnabled?

This read-only TruthValue reports whether the link partner connected to an Ethernet Network Port has indicated, via received EFM OAM organization-specific OAMPDUs, that it supports Link Loss Forwarding. It matters because LLF is a cooperative feature; enabling it locally has no end-to-end benefit if the connected equipment doesn't understand or honor the LLF signaling. For example, before relying on LLF for fast fault propagation to a customer's router, an admin would check cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdPartnerEnabled to confirm that router actually advertises LLF support.
