This read-write Integer32 specifies, in seconds, the delay between detecting a link loss and actually signaling Link Loss Forwarding on an Ethernet Network Port. Admins tune this delay to avoid flapping the paired port on brief, self-clearing link blips, trading a slightly slower failure response for stability against transient noise. For example, setting cmEthernetNetPortLinkLossFwdDelay to 3 seconds prevents a half-second fiber flap from triggering full LLF signaling and unnecessary customer-side protection switching.
