Description: This object allows to specify the expected QL when the Ethernet Network Port is enabled for QL Mode. This object is only applicable for Synchronous Ethernet capable ports, when cmEthernetNetPortQLModeEnabled is set to true. This object allows the user to set a minimum expected received Quality Level on the port. The valid values depend upon the SYNC entity's Network Clock Type. A value of None represents that a minimum Quality Level is not expected. The default value shall be None.
What is cmEthernetNetPortExpectedQL?
This read-write SSMQualityLevel object sets the minimum acceptable received Quality Level an admin expects on a Synchronous-Ethernet port when QL Mode is enabled, with the valid value set depending on the SYNC entity's Network Clock Type. It matters because if the actually-received QL falls below this expected minimum, the port's timing source should be considered unsuitable and the system should fail over to a better clock reference. For example, an admin who only wants to accept a primary-reference-quality clock on a given input would set cmEthernetNetPortExpectedQL accordingly so any lower-quality received QL causes that source to be disqualified.
