Description: This object allows the SNMP user to manage the Priority Code Point (PCP) Drop Eligibility Pairs. When the cmEthernetNetPortEncapPcpDEEncodingType is of type 7p1d, 6p2d, 5p3d, the cmNetPortEncapPcpDEPairTable can be used to specify alternate pairs of priorities to specify drop eligibility/ ineligibility.
What is cmEthernetNetPortEncapPcpDEPairsAction?
This read-write PcpDEPairsAction object lets an admin manage PCP Drop Eligibility Pairs specifically within an encapsulation header's tag, used when cmEthernetNetPortEncapPcpDEEncodingType is set to a paired scheme (7p1d, 6p2d, or 5p3d), with the associated cmNetPortEncapPcpDEPairTable holding the alternate priority pairs. Admins use this the same way as the non-encapsulated pairs-action object, but scoped to the encapsulation header context, which matters because tunneled/pseudowire services carry their own independent PCP DE pairing. For example, when the encapsulation header's PCP encoding moves to a 6p2d scheme, an admin would use cmEthernetNetPortEncapPcpDEPairsAction to redefine the drop-eligible/ineligible priority pairings for that encapsulated tag specifically.
