Type: Integer32
Access: read-write
Description: The COS assigned to a frame that does not have a valid COS identifier for the Priority Map Mode of the port. This attribute is only applicable on products when Flowpoint Model is supported.
This value is assigned to a frame received on a port when: - the cmEthernetNetPortPrioMapMode=priomap-8021p, ingressCOSPriority=inner-vlantag; and the frame is untagged - the cmEthernetNetPortPrioMapMode=priomap-8021p, ingressCOSPriority=inner-vlantag; and the frame has a single VLAN tag - the cmEthernetNetPortPrioMapMode=priomap-8021p, ingressCOSPriority=outer-vlantag; and the frame is untagged - the cmEthernetNetPortPrioMapMode=priomap-dscp; and the frame does not have an IP ethertype - the cmEthernetNetPortPrioMapMode=priomap-tos; and the frame does not have an IP ethertype.
This attribute has been deprecated and is not supported. The Default COS is determined from the flowpoint's associated Priority Mapping Profle.
What is cmEthernetNetPortDefaultCOS?
This read-write Integer32 (0..7) sets the fallback Class of Service assigned to a frame that lacks a valid COS identifier for the port's configured Priority Map Mode, applicable only on Flowpoint-model-supported products, such as an untagged frame when ingress COS priority is set to read the inner VLAN tag. Admins configure this to ensure untaggable or unclassifiable traffic still gets a predictable, deliberate treatment rather than an undefined one. For example, an admin who wants any untagged management traffic arriving on a Flowpoint port to be treated as best-effort would set cmEthernetNetPortDefaultCOS to 0 so it consistently lands in the lowest-priority queue.
