What is cmEthernetNetPortCpdV2VtpDispType?
CpdV2VtpDispType is a read-write setting on the Ethernet network-facing (NNI/trunk) port that selects how VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) control frames (MAC 01:00:0C:CC:CC:CC, Ethertype 0x2003) are disposed of when they reach this NE — typically processed locally, dropped, passed through untouched, or tunneled across the network via L2PT. If this facility sits between two switches that share VTP domain configuration, the disposition must allow pass-through or VLAN database synchronization between them will silently stop working. On the network-facing trunk port linking to the next carrier NE, an administrator would set this object to peer, drop, pass-through, or tunnel VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) frames depending on whether this facility should terminate, block, forward, or L2PT-encapsulate that traffic.
