CpdV2GARPDispType is a read-write setting on the Ethernet network-facing (NNI/trunk) port that selects how the reserved block of GARP protocol MAC addresses (01:80:C2:00:00:22 through 2F) control frames are disposed of when they reach this NE — typically processed locally, dropped, passed through untouched, or tunneled across the network via L2PT. This group-level control applies to the leftover GARP-family addresses not already covered by the dedicated GMRP and GVRP objects. On the network-facing trunk port linking to the next carrier NE, an administrator would set this object to peer, drop, pass-through, or tunnel the reserved block of GARP protocol MAC addresses (01:80:C2:00:00:22 through 2F) frames depending on whether this facility should terminate, block, forward, or L2PT-encapsulate that traffic.
